Phoenix Taxis Takes Centre Stage as Main Sponsor of Sound Futures Festival
YMCA Northumberland is proud to announce Phoenix Taxis as the Main Stage Sponsor for the inaugural Sound Futures Festival, taking place on Saturday 22 August in Ashington.
As Northumberland’s largest taxi company, Phoenix Taxis has been serving communities across the county for many years, providing reliable transport while continually looking for ways to give back. With the recent introduction of reduced fares, the company is making travel more affordable for local residents while also investing in community events that bring people together.
Their sponsorship of the festival’s Main Stage will play a key role in delivering a full day of live music and entertainment, helping to showcase both established performers and emerging local talent.
Sound Futures Festival is a brand-new celebration for Ashington, building on the town’s traditional Fair Day while introducing an exciting new vision shaped by young people. Led by YMCA Northumberland, with support from Ashington Town Council, the festival has been developed to celebrate music, creativity, community and opportunity, creating a welcoming event for people of all ages.
Visitors can look forward to an exciting programme featuring live music throughout the day, fairground rides, community organisations, interactive activities, food vendors, market stalls and family entertainment, all completely free to attend.
The Main Stage will sit at the heart of the festival, providing a platform for musicians and performers while creating an energetic atmosphere that celebrates the incredible talent found across Northumberland and beyond.
Rob Cox, Chief Executive of YMCA Northumberland, said:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Phoenix Taxis as our Main Stage Sponsor. Their support is helping us create a festival that not only provides fantastic entertainment but also gives young people the opportunity to perform, volunteer and play a leading role in delivering a major community event. We are incredibly grateful for their investment in both the festival and the wider community.”
Supporting Sound Futures Festival reflects Phoenix Taxis’ ongoing commitment to Northumberland and the people who live here. By partnering with YMCA Northumberland, the company is helping create opportunities for young people while contributing to an event that celebrates local pride, creativity and community spirit.
With just weeks to go until the festival, excitement continues to build as more sponsors, performers and attractions are announced.
YMCA Northumberland would like to extend its sincere thanks to Phoenix Taxis for helping make Sound Futures Festival possible and for supporting an event that promises to become a highlight of Northumberland’s summer calendar.
Sound Futures Festival takes place on Saturday 22 August, from 11am–6pm in the People’s Park, Ashington. Entry is completely free, and everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy a fantastic day of live entertainment, activities and community celebration.
