Fundraise with us
As a Registered Charity, YMCA Northumberland works constantly to find the funds needed to continue our work with local young people. One way you can help us is by fundraising on our behalf.
There are lots of different ways that you can raise funds for YMCA Northumberland. Whether by planning your own event or sponsored activity, or taking part in larger local/national events (see below), you can help raise vital funds to ensure that young people in Northumberland can access the opportunities and support that they need.
Sleep Easy
Every Spring, YMCAs around the country take part in the Sleep Easy campaign, to raise awareness of what it’s like for young people sleeping rough, whilst also raising vital funds to support their work.
To get involved, all you need to do is be sponsored to spend one nominated night sleeping ‘rough’. You could join us as part of a YMCA Northumberland group, or organise something within your own community group or school. You could even take part as an individual, sleeping in your own garden or other safe space.
Great North Run
Take part in the world’s largest half marathon and achieve your fitness goals whilst helping us continue our vital work supporting young people across Northumberland.
Whether you are just thinking about running or you’re a seasoned track star we will support you every step of the way, providing a fundraising guide, graphics, and encouragement throughout the training process.
All money raised will go towards running our youth sessions and outreach projects, giving local young people a safe and welcoming space to try different activities and receive help and advice from our experienced youth team. If you would like to learn more get in touch via our contact page.
