Could you be a friend of YMCA Northumberland?
Standing with young people, every month.
For over 150 years, YMCA Northumberland has been here for children and young people across our county, offering safe spaces, trusted relationships and opportunities to grow in confidence, skills and hope for the future.
Every day, in different communities, our youth work practitioners are supporting young people through:
- Youth club sessions.
- Wellbeing and mental health support.
- Creative and skills-based programmes.
- Targeted work with those facing isolation or challenge.
Much of this work depends on regular, reliable income; that’s where Friends of YMCA Northumberland comes in.
By giving a small amount each month, you become part of a community of people who believe that every young person in Northumberland deserves somewhere safe to go, someone to talk to and somthing positive to belong to.
What does it mean to be a friend?
Being a Friend is not just about a donation, it is about standing alongside young people and the staff and volunteers who support them.
Your monthly gift can:

- Provide activities, meals and safe spaces for young people who need them most.
- Allow us to plan ahead and respond to emerging needs.
Even a modest monthly contribution, when combined with others can make a real, lasting difference.
